[This is an e-mail that was sent to Kyle from Aubrey…this is where the name sky harbor came from…]

The airplane thing: so I was driving to ASU, which is close to sky harbor (I really like that phrase "Sky Harbor") and as I was watching the planes go by above me (not very safe while driving on the freeway, I know) I was thinking about the whole notion of trust. We trust this large piece of metal, if it even works properly, to fly into the sky and yes we have science to back us up on this, but then we put trust into the pilots not to get us killed, and then the people in the tower who organize the landings so that there isn't some collision on the runway…we also trust all the people behind the computers to get us to the right gate (at the right time). Don't forget the x-ray machine people making sure that no gun gets through. So we put our lives in a lot of strangers hands, trust to the point that we allow ourselves to be lifted thousands of miles above ground and yet think about how so many times we don't trust God.

This all got me thinking about all the while, it is this carefree trust that a 10 yr old displays when flying.

All the little kid wants to see are clouds out his window...

Anyways, was just thinking about airplanes and trust. You know. The usual. J/k
